Meme

The rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

You know me...I am not one for these types of memes...but because I was tagged by a new blogger friend Emma's Mommy, and she doesn't know that much about me, I will humor you all!

1. My husband and I only had a 3-month engagement. And I tell EVERYONE that it can be done. You don't need a year or more (unless there are other reasons you are waiting) to plan a wedding. It can be done in 3-months!!

2.I drink 1 (one) Diet coke a day...and that is all for soda pop (can you tell I am a northerner). When I first got pregnant, I decided I was going to curb the caffeine and didn't drink that diet coke a day...I had the worst headaches I couldn't believe it. And that was just from 1 coke, I didn't even drink coffee back then. Now I vow to at least have 1 Diet coke a day...anything to avoid those crazy headaches!!

3. I have lived in the Chicagoland area all of my life. Right now I actually live in the same town I was born in. I grew up in the next town over, went to college in a town about 30 minutes away, and the furthest I ever lived from this area was in Central Illinois for my first job out of college. But that was only for about 2 years before they moved me back up to the Chicagoland area. It is like I made a big circle and ended up right back where I began. And, I LOVE this area. I would love to raise my kids here...but who knows where the Lord will lead us.

4. Speaking of the Lord, I became a Christian in August of 2001. My father died in February of 2001, I broke up with my high school and on and of boyfriend in August 2001, and I met my now husband in September 2001. Yeah for the year of 2001!!! My life was completely changed because of all of those things.

5. I have a weird habit of counting when I do things. For example, when I wash my hands I count 1, 2, 3, 4 until I am done washing. There is no definite amount of time I do it for, it is until I am done. One time it might be 10, another time 5. I do this type of thing when I brush my teeth, wash my hair, fill my water cup up from the cooler. I know...it is weird. I don't know where it came from or why I do it...but I do.

6. I pick my pimples. I know...gross. But I do even though I know you aren't supposed to because it only makes them worse or spreads more bacteria or causes a scar or whatever the reason really is. I do it to get rid of it quicker and keep it from hurting. I can never wait it out. It hurts too much and looks nasty and if I just get it done and over with...before I know it it is gone.

OK...this is getting a bit difficult...and personal!

7. I have a deep dark passion for Rave/Dance type music. Is it because I was a hip house junkie when I was a teen, is it because of my wild side I used to have before I became a Christian that I like to rekindle now and then, or is it because the loud fast repetitive music gets my foot tapping...I don't know. But often after a long tough day at work, I love to open all my windows in my car and blast some Paul VanDyke or trance type of music, and just feel FREE!!!

8. To piggy back with the #7 passion...when I was in High School, I had the biggest and loudest car stereo system in the school. See, my dad custom made his own boom boxes and car stereo systems, so he always tested them with me and I tested them with the kids at school and then they went to my dad to get the same thing. I was always listening to the deep base sounding music and thumping around town. The neighbors would laugh and say they always new when I was on my way home from school because they could hear me a mile away. I no longer have a booming system in my car, I think that was just a phase. Every now and then I hear someone driving down the street with this "thump, thump, thump" coming from their car and think..."ugh, how immature and annoying is that". Ironic, I used to be that person!

Whew...that was it? Ahhh, easy. And those were some crazy things I listed that I don't even think my husband really knows. So now, 8 people to tag.

Mrs. BFW
