Happy Sunday (night)

Good news!!! After all the careful analyzing over whether I should wait for the back ordered glider or find a different one, I decided to be patient and wait. Then, I get such a pleasant surprise and find out it shipped on Friday!! OK, how cool is that! So hopefully I will have it some time this week and will be gliding by the weekend!

Sunday was such a wonderful day. We started out being awaken by our DD so early that the birds weren't even up. I think it was around 5:30 or so. I brought her into bed around 3am because she was up for the third time and I was just tired getting up out of bed to go into her room and settle her down (it is teething by the way, she has one that just came in today and another one on its way...makes for a total of 8-teeth!!). So at 5:30 she was up and crawling all over both DH and I. It was kind of cute.

And since we all were up and awake and bright eyed, we decided to get ready and go for a walk to one of our favorite pancake houses. So at by 7:30am we were on the trail for a 30 minute walk to our pancake house. Can you believe it, up and out that early on a Sunday?

I ordered a veg omelet (since it is on my WW core diet) and an english muffin, DH got blackberry pancakes, and Miss J had silver dollar pancakes with some sausage. Oh, were we stuffed...glad we were walking back to work off some of that food.

We came home and Miss J was already napping, so we put her down for her AM nap (which she completely missed and ignored on Saturday...don't know why, she NEVER misses her 9am nap). I took a shower and cleaned some stuff up while DH napped. He so needed it. He has been so overwhelmed with his dad still being in the hospital and work working him such long days. It was sweet to see him lay down on the bed, sideways, and fall asleep in minutes.

Then we were all up from our naps (I really didn't get a nap, but that was OK) and we were out the door to run some errands, get groceries, and just spend the day as a family. It was nice to have a day where we all agreed on what we wanted to do together. Most weekends we have different ideas on what we want to do, and end up getting frustrated because one of us doesn't get something done. I don't know why this weekend was any different, but we agreed. That was so nice.

Then back home to unload groceries and feed Miss J...then back on the road to head downtown (one hour each way) to see my FIL in the hospital. It was another nice visit...it would just be nice to begin visiting him at home rather than in that yucky hospital (the hospital isn't yucky, it is the fact that he is in the hospital that is yucky). Hopefully, fingers crossed, he will be coming home this week some time. Please continue to pray for him because he has a lot of strength that he has to regain (not only physically, but mentally too). A long recovery ahead...but lots of prayer and patience will bring a healthy Papa back to Miss J's life!!

Now, I am back home, at 10pm, drinking a glass of wine and blogging about my day. Just seems so peaceful. I am ultra excited about getting my glider this week. I am hoping to have a more peaceful week where DH and I communicate more and spend more intimate time together. That has really been lacking lately (I can already feel those natural hormones kicking in...he he he).

I still have to talk about WW. I am so phyched about it girls...I really think this is the beginning of a great friendship (again). I can already see myself 20lbs lighter (yes, I really have 20lbs to lose...I cannot believe I have been lying to myself for so long thinking I was at a healthy weight!!) I have really been doing well since Wednesday. I have picked up on my exercise and really been tracking well what I eat. I am on the road to freedom ladies!

I hope everyone had a fab weekend and will have a wonderful week ahead! Love y'all!!

What a perfect day with your family!!! I love weekend like that!!!

Mia was up at 3:30 screaming and then the second time she got up at 4 she came into bed with us. I think it is her teeth, but because she hasn't gotten any yet I am not sure!!

I hope you get your glider early this week and you can spend some time enjoying it this coming weekend. Keep up the good work with WW and I am sure you will drop those 20 lbs in no time!!

I am such a fan of sunday morning breakfasts at IHOP, but we usually sleep in so late that it is just too busy when we get there (pre baby). Now we have a nice little alarm clock to get us up for it! And walking is such a great idea to make you feel less guilty for that yummy breakfast!

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well! I am catching up with everyone's blogs finally :) I can't believe Josey has 8 teeth!?! Lila has 4 (2 top 2 bottom) LOL & she only just got them in the last month and a half :) Good luck with WW, their plans really work b/c you'll learn how to eat better all the time & make a practice of it. Hope you are doing great today! TTYL
