All you Mothers out there, and especially first time mothers...
What are you looking to do, have, or receive for Mother's Day?
I told DH that I wanted something especially special this year. Something that symbolized my first mama's day. Something that symbolized our first daughter. Something sparkly and shiny and bright...like jewelery.
Boy, I sure hope he takes that hint.
Oh, and I think we are going to start an annual tradition of going shopping for annual flowers on Sunday...as a family. That will be nice.
What are you planning?
P.S. Jos slept through the night last night!! Yeah...I sure hope we are on the way to recovery!

Yea! Glad to hear that you got some sleep last night. It stinks when their patterns get all messed up.
As for my 1st mothers day I am not expecting much of anything. I got a new camera recently which I called my early mother's day gift so that I could justify it lol. We are talking about dinner the night before, as a family. Flowers would be nice :)

Mark asked me, but I guess I hadn't really thought about it much. My truthful answer would be the sprout -come on out of there and make it a very special first mommy's day!
I think barring that wish coming true that we aren maybe going to go for lunch at Mimi's Cafe. We just had one open up in our town and it's one of my favorite places ever...I may even forget my allergies and indulge in one of those heavenly muffins. LOL!

Wow, I've barely even given mother's day a thought. I think it's still kind of blowing my mind that I'm "eligible" for mother's day gifts this year!!
My favorite mother's day gift would be for Bruce to be in town (which I don't think is going to happen because he has trouble getting routed to FL) but really any gesture that indicates he's thinking of me is cool :) I can dream of jewelry but in the real world, it's not going to happen until I'm done with school!!
Anthony and I are going out of town on vacation. We're leaving the baby with my dad and step-mom so I won't be with her on Mother's Day. At first, that didn't bother me because of how young she is. But now after reading your post, I'm rethinking my decision! LOL I'm not sure what we will do. Maybe we will do something on Tuesday to celebrate a late Mother's Day. :o) (We will both still be off but will have Mackenna back.)
