Sick, Sick, OUCH

So Miss J does have another ear infection. Ugh...will they ever end? So on to more anit-biotics and off to an ENT to see what can/should be done. I also got an order to get some allergy tests done on her just to rule everything out. How frustrating. But, I am glad we have gotten here and are getting whatever her issue is addressed. If we do tubes, there will be no more cranky, feverish, not eating, antibiotic taking girl any more. She will probably still have some cold stuff - unless we find out she is allergic to something specific and can take it off her menu. Gosh, hopefully this is almost over and we can focus on the next sick thing in the house....

DH. Yup, has the flu. And I know he is really sick and feels really lousy because he didn't go to work today, and he slept on the couch last night so as not to get me sick, and he isn't kissing me or getting close to either Miss J or I, and he is walking around with a shirt tied around his mouth so he doesn't pass his germs on. Ok, if that doesn't tell you he is miserable. He even asked if I would make him a sandwich last night becuase he didn't want to put his hands in the bread bag or on the lunch meat...yeah...sicky.

Oh, and not only do I have two sick kids to take care of...I added to the chaos by throwing out my back this morning. Yeah...fun. I think I pushed myself a bit to hard in our exercise class at work yesterday. We did a LOT of squats and then some back stuff...and I was sore last night and a bit this morning. But nothing that disabled me, until I went to pick up Miss J this morning, and all that 25 lbs sent a twinge to my back and now I can barely walk, bend over, sit for too long, and definatly cannot lift Miss J any more. I went to the chiro this morning, which helped a little, then did some yoga and I think just the movement helped. I guess all I can do is baby it for the weekend and hope it gets better. Ugh, I haven't had back issues like this in over 8 years, since I fell off my mountain bike when I was riding through some hilly/foresty kind of things. It was so bad, I was bed ridden for days and couldn't move without shedding tears. I am just a hair short of that today. At least I can walk...unfortunately, I can't take much in the means of anything that will numb the pain or relax the muscles. I can take tylenol, but it isn't doing much and I don't want to take it all weekend.

So, buck up LP you got a long weekend ahead of you!! Hopefuly DH will help with lifting and taking care of Miss J a little bit this weekend. That would help me out a bit.

Oh...the pain, the misery...woooismee.

Funny though, this really isn't that bad. I mean, things could be worse, we could all be sick, we could all be throwing up and taking turns in the bathroom and cleaning eachother up....so, I am still thankful. Thankful for my family and for the (little) health we do have right now.

Hope y'all have a good weekend.

Uug......things don't sound too fun in your house right now. My DH has also been sick and I was sick last week-end and now I think Emma is coming down with a cold. Will it ever get warm again and kill all the germs???

Hope you all start to feel better soon. And I hope you manage to have a decent weekend.
