Wow, where the heck is the time going? Only 3-more weeks and I will be back to work...yuk. But, I will have to say it will be a nice change in pace. I get a bit batty sitting around home so much. You can only watch so much daytime television before you turn into a turnip!! I can get out and run errands, but can't go to far as JW has to eat every 3-hours. I am truly ready for him to start sleeping longer. He has had a couple of bouts where he will go about 4 hours, and last night he went about 5 hours. That was a blessing, I got to sleep about 3 hours in a row!! I know...what an accomplishment.
The thing I find amazing is that I don't really remember this many sleepless nights with Miss J. I know I had them, and I know it took some time to get a routine and for her to sleep longer than an hour or two and then through the night. I guess I just remember that accomplishment of her sleeping longer and blocked out the rest. Funny how that happens!!
I think we are finally making some progress though. I tried last week to get a schedule going, but he was so hungry and was eating like every 2 hours!!! I was exhausted, not to mention hurting and a little discouraged. This week, I feel like we are on an upward trend and hopefully will have a semi-routine down by the time I go back to work.
I tell ya, two kids are a handful. Talk about prioritization. When they are both crying, you have to assess which one is in more need and then let the other cry it out. It sucks, especially if you don't like the crying (like DH...can't handle but a few minutes of the crying before he goes batty). But, plenty of people have done it before, so I know it can't be the end of all things. You just adjust, just like you had to with one child...so there is hope.
I am hoping to get to the polling place this morning. It is right down the street at the elementary school, so I think I will take JW in the stroller and go wait it out. It has been beautiful the past couple of days, and tomorrow too. Then back to cold. Hopefully I can get out a walk today with JW and the dog too. I can't wait to start running again. I actually considered trying it this week to see how I feel. It will be good to get these last 15 lbs off. Hopefully quicker than I did with Miss J. That took forever, but I also gained a lot more weight...and ate like a pig! Things are different this time around (except for that Halloween candy that keeps calling my name!!).
I do have some pics to post of Halloween. Miss J was a monkey (Curious George) and I had a costume for JW but decided not to put it on him just to walk to a couple of houses. Too much hassle. But there are some cute pics I will try to get up later today.
I am off to vote right now...hope all things are well in the blog world!!

Wow! A routine at 4 weeks. I am impressed. But I guess with two kids it just makes life easier. It is hard to believe that he is 4 weeks old already. It amazes me how fast this entire year has gone. I hope you are able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather the next couple of days. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of your little monkey :-)
Happy voting!
Good for you, getting out there and voting! Especially impressive with such a young baby to care for, too! I'm proud of you! Can't wait to see pics of Miss J dressed up! I hope that he'll start to sleep longer stretches really soon!
I hope the little man starts sleeping a little longer for you soon!! It's funny how you forget all those sleepless nights!
I can only imagine what I'm in for! I worry about handling two kiddlets, but you're right, people do it all the time.
I'm glad you're voting!!!! I have two sisters who aren't! I've been giving them crap about it!
Oh how I understand the both of them crying thing ... it is so so hard! That is the hardest and then I feel so guilty if I let Bowden Cry since Tatum never had to cry ... but then if I let her cry I feel horrible because she has never had to cry ... it SUCKS!!!
Hang in there ... I hope you sleep before we did ...we still aren't! oh well, we will one day!
5 hours in a row? I am jealous! The longest Brooke has gone has still been about 3.5!
I was thinking about getting back into running too... especially after all of the Halloween candy I've been eating!
