It is all CRAP!!

Literally, I will tell you. Monday was just a day of crap!!

I spent the day running errands with JW. We went to a breastfeeding support group at the hospital, where he was a gem sleeping the whole time. Then to lunch with daddy, where he slept the whole time until we dropped him off back at work and I knew it would be feeding time with JW very shortly. I made it to the Walmart and decided to nurse him in the far back of the parking lot. Done it before, with Miss J, so no prob. Until I had to change him 3-times over the period of a 30 minute nurse. Fun. Boys sure to poop and pee and make a lot more noises than girls do!! Ran into Walmart, and another couple of places. Then off to pick up Miss J from school and home to do dinner.

So I walk in through the garage, and smelled something like dog poop. I just thought it was on the bottom of one of my husbands shoes since he was out raking leaves on Sunday. Until I walked in to let Bella out of her cage. OMG, the smell, the odor, the mess. She must have eaten something really, really foul to make her do this kind of thing. We are talking projectile poop and puke. Ugh. On the walls, and even on the far opposite wall. Ugh...the stench was unbelievable. So, we spent the evening cleaning the cage, the carpet (rented a rug cleaner), and the dog. My mom ended up coming over to help with Miss J, get her fed, and to help with JW. What a blessing, I think I would have really been at my wits end if she hadn't have helped out a bit.

We think Bella ate part of a caucus of a chipmunk in the back yard. We have them burrowing all over our house, so DH puts out rat traps to catch them (I know...not humane, but they are the peskiest little buggers and really no way around it). So there was one in the back yard and DH didn't think the lead could reach that far....must have, because I don't know what else would have caused such an awful stench or digestive problem in a dog!!

Lots of fun, I tell ya.

Then this morning...had a great standoff with my daughter. I asked her to pick up her stuffed animals that she threw all over her room and then we could have a snack.

"NO!"

Which is her newly found favorite word. I told her yes, she will do as mommy has asked and then we can have an apple.

"NO, I don't want to!"

Which is her newly found favorite phrase. We went back and forth and I finally told her that if she doesn't do as mommy says, that she will have to stay in her room. She continued with the No, No, No stuff. So I walked out of the room with her crying and said she had to stay in there until the stuffed animals were picked up and to let me know when she was done.

An entire hour passed by with her standing at the door crying and whaling. Yes, I stood my ground...for the most part at least. But she sure did too. Finally I went in told her I would help if she would pick them up. Finally...she picked them up.

Then it was like nothing happened and she was off to snack time and a happy girl!! Wow, I could not believe she lasted that long. I really thought she would put two and two together and realize that she just needed to pick them up and all would be done. But noo....she had other plans.

That is our new battle...with the no's and the I don't want to's and the I want to do it's. Ugh. Oh, and the not listening and testing us to the extreme. Fun I tell you!!

Then you throw a baby that doesn't want to sleep longer than 30 minutes unless you are driving in a car or being carried into the mix.

Welcome to the world of two kids!! OH, and two animals!! On top of the dog having a digestive freak out...my cat, of 12 years, seems to be peeing...somewhere again. I just can't tell where. I smell it, but can't find it. And I will have to say, if the cat is starting to pee outside her litter box as a way of retaliating because of the husband, dog, and now two kids (it used to be just me and her), then I have no qualms about finding a no-kill shelter to take her to. Peeing in the house is not going to be tolerated...AT ALL.

OK, back to my day. My MIL is here and both kids are asleep, so I am off to do errands.

Have a great week all!

Emma has been like that off and on over the past couple of years. It makes me want to pull my hair out, but then they can also turn around and be so incredibly sweet!

Have fun on your errands!

Oh how I need your number - haha your days and my days are mirror imiages except we don't have the animals. I am exhausted and worn to the brink of blowing up - I have had a head ache for a week now and I am crying all the time - 2 under 2 is so so hard!

I hope things get better your way as they do mine too!

Oh no! You poor thing! It sounds like you had a crazy day! Good for you for standing your ground with Miss J... definitely not an easy thing to do... it is funny how pretty much every toddler's favourite word is NO! But I guess it isn't so funny when you have to listen to it ALL the time :)

I have a suggestion for the cat. We have two and when we brought the baby kitten home (3 years ago) my older cat freaked out. You can buy a black light and some special pet stain odor neutralizer.

Using the black light you should be able to find where the cat is peeing and spray the areas down with the neutralizer. The way it works for kitties is that they will typically spray again and again in the same spot and if there is any hint of a smell (a cat's sense of smell is really good) they will continue to mark and pee in the same spot. So what spraying a special neturalizer will do is get rid of the smell completely so that the cat won't continue to spray or go pee in the same spot.

It worked for us and we spray around the kitties' box every month so that they ONLY go in the box and not where they may have accidently gone outside it.

Check out PetSmart or PetCo.

WOW what a day! I am sure you were glad it was over! On the bright side Josey still naps!! LOL :) We are dealing w/the nos a lot.. and when Lila gets really mad she'll come swinging at me. Trying to get her to stay in time out is nearly impossible. She is stubborn... wonder where she gets it? ;) Hope you are having a good weekend!

Yikes, that sure was one heck of a day. Hopefully your little guy will soon learn to sleep on his own so mommy can get a break!

Are you still sane this evening? If so, I'm impressed! Things sound hectic.

About the cat, you may want to take her to the vet. My mom's cat started doing that, and it turned out he had a problem. She didn't get him in soon enough and he had to be put down. Totally not trying to make you worried, but it seems to be a common thing with older cats.

Hope you have a good week!

P.S. Way to stand your ground with the temper tantrum!
