But the doc said that both ears were full of infection and that he drained them out (I know, gross) and that the tubes were in and hopefully this would be the end of the cycle. Whew...it took Miss J awhile to come back from recovery, and she was laid back and not to fussy. They told us that often kids are frantic and crying and can't calm downn after the anethesia because they are a little confused...but Miss J was great. She wanted to get down and walk, which she was a little drunk on her feet, but that was a good sign.
She got some fig newtons in her, some water, we took a walk, and then released to go home. We were told that she would probably be tired and groggy in the morning, but pick up in the afternoon. So we thought, yeah!!!, we can sleep with her. Nope, she was raring to go when we got home, wanting to play and eat and act like nothing happened. She took her normal nap...and so did I. I was pooped!!
Back to school for her today...and hopefully she will be back to herself. I think she is still teething so she is hooked on her binky again, but school should break her of that. And, she is mommy hooked too...that will just take time. Those two things were comfort things. With teething and infection...she just wanted comfort. Hopefully we can be back to normal this week. She is sleeping great, so that is no biggie...just binky and mommy...need to un-train.
Busy day, catch up for work...but here are some pictures...and thank you for all of your wonderful words and prayers. I really was anxious about the whole thing...but all turned out perfect. Have a great week!!

They had the cutest PJ's for Miss J. And the socks...we ended up putting them on the Pooh bear because they really didn't stay on Miss J.

Hey, I'm glad to hear that the surgery went so well! And I love the pictures. She is turning out to be such a cute little girl! (She was always a cute baby but now she looks like a little girl.) I was looking at her pictures and she's getting little girl hair instead of baby hair and she looks like such a toddler! :p I think Mackenna still has a lot of the baby look to her and I can't wait to see her looking like such a big girl. :o) Anyway, glad to hear that things are looking up. Take care!
I'm so glad the surgery went well... here's to a ear infection-free, healthy little girl!!
